MBA bitch!
For those who don't know me (which is just about everyone), I am going to begin my pursuits of obtaining an MBA this fall. As I am super exciting about it, I can't help but wonder how things are going to be for the next couple years. Am I scared? Not really. Am I anxious? Maybe a little. Most would think that the 120-150 thousand dollar loan is what drives this ambivalence, but for me it is the uncertainty of what lies ahead. Will I get a good job? How will the new job market perform when I graduate? What will my pay be? Will my girlfriend leave me :)? Don't get me wrong, this event is certainly one of the most proud of my life, but for some reason I am heading into this with some apprehension. Probably just cold feet.
Just to fill everyone in. I am in at the University of Michigan and on the waitlist at Chicago GSB. Due to several reasons, I would prefer to go to Chicago and I have worked diligently to make that happen. I have sent in additional info in the form of an essay highlighting updates in my life, 2 letters of recommendation, and a powerpoint presentation illustrating my desire to go to the GSB. I will find out next week if I get in, but if I don't, I know it just wasn't meant to be.
